Review: My school recently purchased the early vision ‘Saving Energy’ and ‘Recycling’ CDROMs as we were doing an Eco topic as part of our creative curriculum. The resources are packed full useful videos and teaching plans that engaged the children fully. They were particularly useful for the recycling element, as I had tried on many occasions to organise trips to the recycling plant, but the cost of transport had just been too great. These CDROMs showed such places in action as well as the less environmentally friendly landfill sites. Also, I distributed the CDROMs around school just before our Green Flag Eco schools assessment as a reminder to the children of what we were aiming for.’ The CDROMs boosted the children’s existing knowledge and just reminded the children of the ‘bigger picture.’ I would recommend these products.
